Quebra Coco Photo Book

€39.00

This body of work was documented during 2020 - 2021. As the pandemic was savaging its way through Europe and the rest of the world, the island of Madeira remained relatively untouched. As suddenly the island was thrust onto the radar of surfers and tourists alike, we quickly realised that, as photographers living on the island, we were witnessing the end of an era: this was a precious time of freedom, a sense of community, and world class, uncrowded waves. This book is about a handful of travelling surfers, a few pro big wave surfers and, of course, the small local surf community that had welcomed us in. It portrays a unique time in surfing history that will never be seen again.
